Are members on this site screened?
A valid email address and telephone number is required in order to become a member of this site. This means that should any member of the site be found guilty of harassing other members, we will have a lead in finding the person who is causing the problems; and with the help of that member's ISP, we can trace that person. We will cooperate with the authorities to locate such persons. Please use your common sense and be careful about giving out personal information or meeting people you converse with on this site.

What is the difference between entering as a guest and entering as a member?
Guests may enter the site and browse the listings, but in order to post, or to view private features and many features available on the site, you must become a member.

How do I change my email address?
To update your email address, please follow these steps:

  1. Login to our site using your Username and Password.
  2. Click on the "My Page" link.
  3. Click on the link that says, "Edit Your Profile."
  4. Type your new email address in the box that says "Email Address" and click on the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.

I am a standard member, how do I upgrade my account?
To upgrade to a Premium Membership, follow these steps:

  1. Login to our site using your username and password.
  2. Click on the "My Page" Link
  3. Click on the link that says "Upgrade to a Premium Account"
  4. Select the period you wish to sign up for.
  5. Click the "Proceed" button.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions for paying by credit card.

Site Features


What is the "My Favourites" feature?
The My Favourites feature is a list of members whom you are interested in. It maintains a link to their profile page. For KoolCool.Me members, when you are browsing the listings, you will notice that every profile has a button on it that says, "Add to Favourites". Clicking on this button will add that member to your Favourites. You can later remove people from your Favourites by clicking on the "Delete" button next to their name.

When you click on the "Announcements" Link in your preferences page you will get a list of the latest additions, changes to the site.

What is the Block List? How do I use it?
The Block List feature allows Premium Members to 'Block' or 'Ignore' certain members. This means that if you block another member, they will no longer appear in your search results and you will no longer receive emails from them.

To add members to your Block List follow these steps:

  1. Login to the site using your username and password
  2. Click on the "Read Messages" link
  3. Click on an email from the member you wish to block.
  4. At the bottom on the email click on the "Block User" button to add the member to your block list.

To View your block list follow these steps:

  1. Login to the site using your username and password
  2. Click on the "My Page" Link
  3. Click on the "View Your Blocklist" link

To remove a member from your block list:

  1. Login to the site using your username and password
  2. Click on the "My Page" Link
  3. Click on the "View Your Blocklist" link
  4. Find the member you wish to remove from your blocklist and then press the "remove" button beside the members name.

Your Profile

Are profiles censored? Is there any limit to what I can put in my profile?
Yes. All member profiles, when they are originally created as well as when they are modified, must be approved by KoolCool.Me. webmasters. We reserve the right to refuse any profile or photograph that we feel is inappropriate for this site. Also, we ask that you do not put any personal information in your profile or mail messages (unless you are a premium member and sending the information to another premium member), including but not limited to: your home address, mobile or telephone number, a "real" email address or personal web address. Any repeat offenders of this rule will be banned from the KoolCool.Me.site until such information is removed from their profile.

How long does it take to have my profile posted?
Your profile is posted immediately, however KoolCool.Me. reserves the right to remove any profile which we deem as unfit for the website. Public Photos will be reviewed by our webmasters before being allowed to be posted to the website.

What are some tips to remember when creating my profile?
The number of replies you get from other members will depend greatly on the quality of your profile. Here are some helpful tips that will help you:

Upload a photograph: People like to see whom they're writing to and as a result, profiles with photographs get up to ten times more clicks as profiles that don't have one. You can either upload a photo from a digital camera or a scanner. If you are a premium member, we will scan your picture for free.

Think before you write: Feel free to write as much as you want in our essay portions of the sign-up pages. Tell other members about yourself, for instance: your likes and dislikes, things you enjoy doing, what line of work you're in, what your personality is like, even your hopes and dreams. The better your profile describes you, the more likely it is that others will read and respond to it. If you can't think of anything right away, you can always add more later. And don't forget to fill out the optional profile questions - these will also help other members get to know you even better.

How do I upload my picture?
Once you have joined KoolCool.Me as either a standard member or Premium member follow these steps to upload your photo:

  1. Login to our site using your username and password.
  2. Go to the "Upload Photos" link in your member menu and click the "Browse" button.
  3. Locate the photo you wish to upload on your hard drive.
  4. Once located highlight it and click open.
  5. Finally click the "Send Us Your Picture" button to upload your photo.

Note: If you upload a picture that is over 800K it may take longer to appear. It would also help if the picture had an image size of 107 x 139 pixels

What is "Private Picture" and how do I Use it?
The Private Picture Feature is available to Premium Members only and allows Premium Members to upload a private picture and specify which members can view it.

To upload a private picture follow these steps:

  1. Login to our site using your username and password
  2. Click on the "Upload Photos " Link.
  3. In the Upload Private Picture box press the "Browse" Button
  4. Locate the photo you wish to upload on your hard drive.
  5. Once located highlight it and click open.
  6. Finally click the "Send Us Your Picture" button to upload your photo.

Please note: Please try and keep the picture as small as possible. Other people may not have as good an Internet connection as you have. .jpg and .gif files will be viewable straight away.

Once I Join

How do I search for members?
Both standard and Premium members can use the Quick Search feature, which is located on the left hand side of the site. This search allows you to specify which gender to search by.
Only Premium Members can access advanced Search. Advanced search allows members to search by gender, age, location and the ability to sort results by age, photo, new members and when a member last logged on.

How do I send messages to members?
Premium Members:
To contact other members on KoolCool.Me, please follow these steps:

  1. Login to our site using your username and password.
  2. Click on the "Search" or "Browse" link or use the Quick search.
  3. Browse the profiles until you find a member you wish to contact.
  4. Select the "Contact" link in either the Options box or at the top of the profile you are viewing. "Contact" links are displayed with an envelope icon.

Standard members:
Standard members are only allowed to view 90 profiles and send 1 messages to other members in a 8 hour period. If you would like extensive privileges and features, we recommend upgrading your membership status to Premium Membership. Here are a few of the many exciting benefits that come with premium status:

  1. Get listed at the top of the searches and receive more responses.
  2. View and email thousands of members.
  3. Use the powerful search feature to find your exact match.

How do I get messages from other members?
When a member sends you a message, KoolCool.Me will notify you that a message is waiting to be picked up by you. Login with your Username and Password to view the message. You can then reply to the message and your message will be forwarded to the other member. Since all messages go through our system, neither member will see the real email address that you use.
